Oklahoma City Community College Student Recruiters provide information to prospective students and their families who are visiting OCCC in person as well as those who are making inquiries over the telephone. Student Recruiters showcase the college while giving campus tours to prospective students and their families and provide overall support to the Office of Recruitment & Admissions. Additionally, Student Recruiters represent OCCC during high school visits and college fairs.

Minimum Education/Experience
Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the Fall or Spring semester or enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours for the Summer semester if they aren’t enrolled in the following semester.
OR
Current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study award.
AND
In Good Academic Standing.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to give college tours;
Ability to attend and give presentations at recruiting events;
Basic computer skills;
Ability to interact with a diverse student and community populations;
Strong professional inter-personal skills.

GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

This position requires the person to frequently move about the Recruitment & Admissions Office and the OCCC campus to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.
This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer and other office equipment to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands and wrists.
This position requires the person to frequently position self to access materials that may be above head or at ground level.
This position requires the person to frequently use upper and lower body to exert force up to 20 pounds to push, pull, grasp, and/or lift materials or equipment.
This position requires the person to frequently position self to work with equipment, to assist students/guests, and to perform the essential functions of the position.
3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
4. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position’s essential functions are frequently performed in an indoor, office setting and occasionally performed at recruiting events that occur outdoors.
